About the role

We have a vacancy for a Planner Scheduler to join our Utilities team. The role will report to the Utilities Maintenance Superintendent and operate on a family friendly 8 days on, 6 days off day shift roster – FIFO from  Perth.

This role will be responsible for the creation, management and scheduling of executable work orders aligning to the maintenance strategy, asset condition, business and long-term plans whilst minimising downtime, costs and waste and maximising resources.​

You will also be responsible for :

  • Provide prioritization of work orders, considering asset criticality, statutory work, warranty, and safety impacts.​

  • Engage and arrange external contractors/suppliers and maintain availability (CR12).​

  • Review approved notifications, allocate priorities for non-urgent tasks, and provide feedback on their status (WFIN, RJCL).​

  • Update SAP/databases with equipment change-out data, including plans, counters, and warranty restarts.​

  • Review internal and external labour and equipment capacity.​

  • Check material availability and status.​

  • Identify and resolve critical issues such as approvals, lead times, cores, resources, and accommodation with stakeholders.​

  • Ensure long-term maintenance plans are aligned with short-term plans.​

  • Continuously review the effectiveness of the Maintenance Plan in supporting tactical goals.​

  • Review maintenance history, damage, causes, and functional failures to ensure accurate data.

  • Detail planning of work orders, assign resource requirements, and manage HSE risks.​

  • Set correct statuses on planned work orders to indicate readiness for scheduling and assign revisions.​

  • Facilitate the development of work order instructions (PRT, task lists) and document in SAP.​

  • Initiate amendments to maintenance plans as required and update databases accordingly.​

  • Initiate Warranty and Repairable/Rotable processes for non-urgent corrective work with appropriate internal SMEs.​

  • Confirm material and delivery locations, and expedite parts as required.​

What you’ll bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have: 

  • Experience in maintenance planning / scheduling in the mining industry, either fixed plant / rail / utilities

  • CMMS Maintenance modules

  • Advanced computer skills

  • Intermediate / Advanced use of MS office (Excel / Project)

  • Demonstrates capability in effective communication, feedback and collaboration

  • An understanding of the work management process and principles​.

  • A Current ‘C’ Class Driver's Licence (Manual)​

  • Trade background​
