About the role
This position operates on a 4/2/4/4 roster (dayshifts only) and reports to the Asset Health Supervisor at Cape Lambert A. Your responsibilities will include:
Promoting Safety: Drive a strong safety culture and uphold a zero-harm approach.
Maintenance Tasks: Complete scheduled rectification and maintenance tasks, as well as hydraulic hose and tube fabrication/ installation. Supporting the Lubrication Technicians with their scheduled and breakdown tasks. Diagnose and repair Auto Lubrication system faults. Diagnose and repair hydraulic system faults.
Reporting Issues: Identify and report on problems related to plant assets, practices, and procedures.
Improvement Initiatives: Conduct lubrication system improvement work as specified by the Supervisor or identified during inspections.
Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement to drive best practices in reliability.
Hazard Management: Implement and understand all pre-task hazard tools daily.
Risk Identification: Identify and manage workplace risks.
What you’ll bring
A Full manual C Class license
Hold a mechanical trade certificate
Knowledge of fixed plant assets
Understanding of SAP
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset
A Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or the ability to obtain one
Preferred Qualifications:
Forklift qualification
Advanced SAP experience
Personal Isolation Qualification
Experience in fault-finding and repairing hydraulic systems
