Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people

 

Roster: 7 dayshift, 7 R&R (dayshift only) FIFO ex Perth & Busselton

 

Fortescue is seeking a skilled and motivated Plumber to join our Infrastructure Services Team. Supported by the NPI Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for providing safe, effective and timely repair and maintenance to all assets. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preventative and reactive plumbing maintenance
  • Diagnosing, repair and installation of commercial, domestic and industrial plumbing systems
  • Scheduled maintenance and breakdown fault finding on a wide range of infrastructure equipment
  • Liaise with the planning team to ensure planned maintenance schedule is implemented successfully
  • Ensuring that water entering plant is treated to meet regulatory standards
  • Regulate water flow through stages of treatment
  • Using proper methods to treat water, monitor plant for unclean water, and correct any problems as soon as possible
  • Ensuring the proper execution of water treatment processes while complying with all safety requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • WA Plumbing Tradesperson Licence along with a Gas Fitting and Installation ticket
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of Potable and Waste Water Systems (desirable) Plumbers contractor's license
  • Experience operating a treatment plant
  • Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or relevant experience 
  • Demonstrated experience with SCADA including the ability to analyse trends
  • Knowledge about water treatment process, chemicals, filtration, and other aspects of water treatment.
  • Operator must have the ability to read and understand water treatment plant schematics, manuals, and other documents in order to carry out daily tasks 
  • Minimum WA C Class Driver's Licence
  • Extensive maintenance & fault finding experience essential
