This role can be based in either Perth, WA or Brisbane, Qld and will be offered as a Secondment (Internal employee) or on a Fixed Term Contract (External applicant) until the end of 2025

About the role

We are looking for a PMO Lead 3 Lines of Defence to strengthen our assurance programs across our entire business. Providing overall support in running the Program Management Office (PMO).

Reporting to the 3LoD Implementation Manager, you will be a part of the Risk Area of Expertise (AoE), providing support by providing project management expertise to the PMO on the program. The PMO will provide the support across the program to track and manage schedule, costs, risks/issues, and actions, as well as support the preparation for key program meetings. You'll leverage your exceptional stakeholder engagement capability and project management acumen to deliver a current forward looking program plan and interactive reporting within Power BI.

Your collaboration across the program workstreams will ensure interdependencies are identified and managed between program and broader stakeholder groups. You will be a critical interface in facilitating an effective partnership between the workstreams and other implementation stakeholders. In doing so, you will directly contribute to the Group’s ‘Best Operator’ strategy by enhancing confidence in the strength of our critical controls to sustain the resilience of our business in managing material risks.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong project management experience in using best practice tools and managing change programs
  • A depth of experience in mining (underground, open cut) or minerals processing (smelting, refining) from a scheduling, reporting or project controls background will be seen as advantageous
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience with demonstrated experience partnering with complex stakeholder groups, including senior leaders
  • Complex program and change management experience
  • A track record of managing program schedules and reporting suites to support the success of such a deliver program
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft Project and Power BI will be seen as advantageous
  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required to deliver project outcomes
