Work Location: Perth Office - Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people. Ad hoc site travel as required.

 

 

Roster:  Monday to Friday

 

 

The Portfolio Manager, HaulX will lead portfolio management, governance, vendor coordination, reporting and executive engagement across the HaulX programme. This role will provide clear visibility of scope, schedule, cost, risk, dependencies and delivery performance across a complex, multi-vendor technology and operational transformation portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the integrated HaulX portfolio roadmap across projects, vendors, workstreams and delivery phases
  • Establish and manage portfolio governance, PMO routines, reporting frameworks and delivery controls
  • Maintain visibility of milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions and delivery performance
  • Coordinate vendor delivery plans, commitments, obligations, risks and performance reviews
  • Prepare SteerCo agendas, executive packs, decision papers and governance materials
  • Provide clear portfolio reporting on progress, blockers, risks, changes and decisions required
  • Work across technical, operational, commercial, safety, site and vendor teams to align delivery priorities
  • Maintain RAID registers, decision logs, dependency maps and escalation pathways
  • Support commercial and financial visibility across vendor spend, forecasts, purchase orders and contract milestones
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning, governance, reporting, vendor management and portfolio controls.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Experience in portfolio or programme management within complex delivery environments
  • Strong PMO, governance, project controls and executive reporting capability
  • Experience coordinating multi-vendor delivery environments and vendor performance
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across technical, operational, commercial and leadership teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies, decisions and escalations
  • Strong commercial awareness, including budget, contract, forecast and vendor spend visibility
  • Experience supporting SteerCos, executive forums or senior governance bodies
  • Ability to create structure, clarity and delivery discipline in ambiguous or fast-paced environments
  • Strong written communication, presentation, facilitation and influencing skills
  • High attention to detail with a proactive, pragmatic and outcome-focused approach.
