About the role 

We are seeking a Power BI Consultant with demonstrated experience working across SAP data and Power BI reporting in a large enterprise environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solutions‑focused professional who enjoys tackling complex challenges and has an end‑to‑end understanding of the reporting landscape - from SAP source data and data models through to secure, performant Power BI dashboards.

About you

  • A strong commitment to your own safety and the safety of your team
  • Proven Power BI development experience within large, complex enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering Power BI solutions using SAP‑sourced data, including data understanding, modelling, and dashboard development.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise reporting standards, including security models, governance frameworks, and principles for long‑term maintainability and standardisation.
  • Hands‑on capability with Power BI Desktop, DAX, and report performance optimisation.
  • Experience reviewing and assuring vendor deliverables to ensure fit‑for‑purpose outcome.

You’ll join the Modern ERP Program — a multi‑disciplinary team bringing together technology, process, data and change specialists to reshape how work happens across Rio Tinto. We’re modernising a 20‑year‑old ERP system and redesigning core business processes to improve safety, efficiency and ignite innovation.

This work supports our people across global operations to spend less time on transactional tasks and more time on work that really matters. By simplifying and digitising how the organisation runs, the Modern ERP Program is creating the foundation for future productivity gains, smarter decision‑making and AI‑enabled transformation.
