Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.
Roster: Monday to Friday
This is a role as a Drilling Scheduler requires knowledge and experience in the planning and scheduling of projects as well as a base level of understanding in drilling operations. Responsibilities of this role include project planning and scheduling of drilling programs (Diamond, Waterwell, RC drilling), baseline schedules and tracking of actual progress in Primavera P6. This role will ensure the preparation and development of the interface schedule that is distributed to internal and external stakeholders of the Resource Drilling Team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure the preparation and development of appropriate detail and summary of drilling schedules in Primavera P6
- Manage and assist in the capture of data relevant to Drill Planning
- Prepare and implement project-wide progress measurement and reporting system, including roll-up levels, section weightings and reporting cycle calendar
- Managing business stakeholder expectations and communicating delivery status, escalating appropriate issues, risks and providing visibility to Principal managers
- Develop an understanding operational process and apply this knowledge within schedule
Qualification and Experience:
- Experience in a similar role
- Experience analysing intricate project planning issues and inter-relationships between projects
- Ability to actively seek to understand technical context
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships we a versatile range of stakeholders from operational and technical backgrounds
- Project management experience is highly desirable
- Strong Primavera P6 ability
