About the Role
Join our Modern ERP Program and play a critical role in establishing and leading the Financial Reporting Readiness workstream. This newly formed function is responsible for ensuring Rio Tinto is ready from a financial reporting perspective as we transition to SAP S/4HANA.
Working across Finance, Data, Testing and Functional workstreams, you'll coordinate readiness activities, monitor progress against key stage gates, identify risks and dependencies, and provide leadership assurance that reporting outcomes are on track for deployment. This role is ideal for an experienced delivery professional who understands finance transformation, ERP implementations and the importance of governance in managing material business risk.
What You'll Be Doing
Project manage and lead delivery across the Financial Reporting Readiness and Finance Data workstreams within Rio Tinto's Modern ERP Program.
Support the Functional Lead in developing and executing readiness plans that validate financial reporting outcomes ahead of go-live.
Coordinate reporting-related testing, data validation and business readiness activities across multiple workstreams.
Partner with Functional Leads, Finance SMEs and Program stakeholders to identify risks, dependencies and delivery blockers.
Drive governance, reporting and assurance activities to provide confidence that financial reporting requirements are being met.
Monitor delivery progress against key stage gates and readiness milestones.
Facilitate escalation and resolution of issues that may impact reporting outcomes.
Produce governance artefacts, status reporting and executive-level updates that support informed decision making.
What You'll Bring
Proven experience delivering Finance, ERP, Financial Reporting or large-scale business transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of financial reporting processes, controls and governance frameworks.
Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations, ERP transformations or finance system modernisation programs.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex risks, dependencies and cross-functional delivery activities.
Experience coordinating testing, data validation and business readiness activities.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders across Finance and Technology functions.
Excellent planning, scheduling and delivery management capability.
A collaborative and outcomes-focused approach with the ability to bring multiple teams together to achieve program objectives.
