About this role

The GPO Simplification team is at the forefront of embedding the Global Process Ownership (GPO) model across Rio Tinto. Our mission is to simplify and de-bureaucratise how we operate, while strengthening process and data governance. In this role, you will support Global Process Owners in driving value through integrated dashboards, scalable tools, and sustainable governance frameworks. You’ll also play a key role in aligning with major transformation programs like Modern ERP.

Responsibilities include

  • Supporting GPOs to embed decision rights, governance, and value delivery

  • Driving simplification through scalable tools and change programs

  • Partnering with PMO to develop dashboards and monitor performance

  • Facilitating resolution of cross-GPO decision rights and overlaps

  • Building and maintaining the GPO Knowledge Hub

  • Supporting stakeholder engagement and alignment across global teams

  • Tracking progress against transformation milestones and KPIs

What you'll bring

  • Strong program and stakeholder management experience

  • Previous experience in strategy or management consulting is highly desired

  • Expertise in defining KPIs and building dashboards

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills

  • Experience embedding governance frameworks at scale

  • Lean/Six Sigma qualifications or equivalent experience

  • Background in ERP transformation, process optimisation, or data governance

  • Consulting or transformation experience in complex, global environments

  • Proficiency with knowledge hubs (e.g., SharePoint)

Where you’ll be working

Within the GPO Simplification team, under the Business Readiness function, which is leading the embedding of the Global Process Ownership (GPO) model across the business and enabling the alignment with and supporting delivery of the Modern ERP program and other large-scale transformations.
