About the role
This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in a major enterprise transformation, ensuring that intended benefits translate into real, measured outcomes for the business.
As Principal Advisor – Value Realisation, you will be embedded within a large‑scale transformation program and accountable for defining, governing, tracking and realising value across delivery and into operations. Working at pace and in close alignment with program cadence, this role partners across Digital, Finance, Commercial and the broader business to ensure benefits are clearly owned, transparently tracked and actively managed.
This is a full‑time, immersive role offering broad exposure across a complex organisation. You’ll operate across strategy, analysis and execution, balancing senior stakeholder engagement with the detailed work required to deliver outcomes.
About you
You are a transformation‑minded professional who thrives in complex environments and is motivated by turning ambition into measurable outcomes. To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Experience working within large‑scale transformation programs, ideally digital or technology‑enabled, with exposure to value, benefits or outcome management
Strong financial and commercial acumen, including ROI, benefit modelling, valuation or cashflow analysis
The confidence and maturity to engage with, challenge and influence senior stakeholders constructively
The ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, moving seamlessly from framework design to hands‑on analysis and execution
A resilient, outcomes‑focused mindset, comfortable with pace, setbacks and iterative decision‑making
Curiosity and learning agility, seeing this role as an opportunity to build breadth, depth and momentum for future career growth

You’ll join the Modern ERP Program — a multi‑disciplinary team bringing together technology, process, data and change specialists to reshape how work happens across Rio Tinto. We’re modernising a 20‑year‑old ERP system and redesigning core business processes to improve safety, efficiency and ignite innovation.
This work supports our people across global operations to spend less time on transactional tasks and more time on work that really matters. By simplifying and digitising how the organisation runs, the Modern ERP Program is creating the foundation for future productivity gains, smarter decision‑making and AI‑enabled transformation.
