About the role

We are looking for a Principal Advisor, Closure Studies to join the Iron Ore Studies team and lead studies to develop our mine replenishment, growth and closure projects. These roles provide an excellent opportunity to lead, plan and coordinate major study development across our mine, port and rail integrated value chain.
Reporting to the Manager Closure Studies, you will provide direction and leadership across various study phases by managing cross-functional teams, project framing, value management, business case development, option selection, study work planning and assurance with the following in mind:
- Meeting overall business objectives with specific focus on study scope and battery limits
- Stakeholder engagement and management of expectations
- Development and implementation of a cross-functional study work plan to successfully execute the study on time, on budget and to the quality expected
- Day to day management of studies including project shaping workshops, progress reviews and project performance reporting in line with RTIO internal standards
- Produce the study report and present study outcomes through the investment review process.

What you’ll bring

- Tertiary qualification or equivalent in an Engineering, Technical, Finance or Science discipline
- An innovative and flexible approach to delivering solutions

- Good understanding of financial modelling and project management

Where you’ll be working
The Studies, Rehab and Closure team actively encourages and supports flexible work. This includes workdays, hours and location, in addition to flexible and part-time work schedules. Occasional site travel will be required to keep the study and site-based team members.
