About the role

We are looking for a Principal Adviser, Digital to join our team to support our Group website, riotinto.com, along with our country sites. You will be part of a small, agile team working across the globe and play a fundamental role in executing our strategy and producing high-quality output on the Sitecore platform.

In this role, you will:

  • Update Rio Tinto’s corporate external site, riotinto.com, including supporting large announcements as required
  • Support in the execution of the digital strategy and support the strategy and the execution of country sites
  • Analysing website traffic and behaviours using Google Universal Analytics and other digital analysis tools, presenting regular analytics reports to management and internal stakeholders
  • Proactively identifying performance gaps on the Group website and making suggestions to drive improvements in user experience
  • Providing comprehensive insight into digital channel performance with constant evaluation of data to optimise channel performance
  • Image manipulation using Photoshop for digital usage
  • Supporting Google ads campaigns
  • Developing SEO strategies for the website and keeping abreast of all developments in the SEO field

What you’ll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital or any other related field
  • Good knowledge of HTML/CSS and competency in Adobe Photoshop and the wider Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience working with Sitecore desired
  • UX knowledge
  • Familiarity of the principles of SEO, analytics and tracking and Google Universal Analytics knowledge desired
  • Knowledge of Google Ads
  • Experience using CANVA and Digital Asset Management platforms would also be valuable but not essential
