Principal Advisor Product Operations – Perth, Australia
Rio Tinto is building a world-class Digital Products capability.
Within our company wide Information Systems & Technology function, we are building an internal software development and delivery team focusing on high value and strategic products for the digital transformation of Rio Tinto.

About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Advisor Product Operations, to join the Product Operations team, based in Perth.
Production Operations is a business function that is the conduit across teams within Digital Products. The key purpose and function of Product Operations is enhancing collaboration; providing data management and insights; and process optimization.
This role will lead business improvement efforts to implement processes, frameworks and reporting, primarily supporting the Perth Digital products teams. The role will be pivotal in providing regional support to a growing team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Product Operations and working closely with Digital Products teams, you will work collaboratively to support resource planning, forecasting, risk management, tracking of OKRs and managing vendor contracts. Responsibilities
Partners closely with Digital product teams in Perth, to implement and support adoption of processes and reporting
Will be a Subject Matter Expert for Product Operations in Perth
Supports teams in achieving Objective Key Results (OKRs) and provide regular tracking
Identifies improvement opportunities, by sensing and resolving pain points
Manages vendor contracts
Supports and contributes to Digital Products strategy, primarily focused on RTIO products and opportunities
Partnership with Engineering Manager to support resource planning and forecasting
About you
Broad experience in reporting, governance, business improvement and finance.
Knowledge in SAP and PowerBI is highly desirable.
Proven ability to influence, communicate and collaborate with technical teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with cross-functional teams.
Experience partnering closely with Business stakeholders and technical teams to align technical and business strategies.
