We are looking for a Principal Advisor – Remuneration Insights & Systems to support the design and strategic implementation of Rio Tinto remuneration programs. The strategies and systems adopted in Rio Tinto to remunerate employees at all levels is critical in being able to attract, retain and mobilise high calibre individuals.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Insights & Systems you will:
- design and drive global reward programs and their strategic implementation
- develop comprehensive insights and analytics to measure impacts across our reward programs
- drive our digital reward roadmap
- participate in the roll-out of our remuneration cycle activities
- participate in the design of our Human Capital Management (HCM)
- conduct internal and external market research (e.g., surveys, data and trends)
- partner with stakeholders to drive enhancement to our programs
- build relationships across the broader people community and participate in cross-functional projects as required
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience in reward-related discipline within a global organisation including expertise and knowledge of contemporary HR principles, philosophies, and relevant laws/regulations governing remuneration (job analysis, market pricing, market analysis, fixed and variable compensation plan design, diversity pay and analytics)
- Strong business partnership acumen and the ability to diagnose, analyse issues, and drive appropriate solutions at all levels within the organisation.
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple time zones
- Advanced expertise/proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong understanding of people analytics, with exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI/PowerApps platforms, Easymorph) a plus
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
Relevant Education
Degree in Human resources, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or similar discipline
