Principal Advisor – Remuneration Product Owner

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Advisor, Reward Product Owner who will support the critical delivery of digital solutions, which is linked to the Group’s short-term and long-term strategic priorities for Reward, and in turn delivers sustainable growth in shareholder value.

Reporting to the HR Systems Manager, you will be involved with the following:

  • Contribute to the wider strategic vision, goals, roadmaps and growth opportunities for our business, with a focus on our Reward and Remuneration digital ecosystem
  • Experience in agile ways of working, ideally ScaledAgile Framework (SAFe) and SCRUM
  • Translating Reward’s philosophies and practices it into our digital landscape; making technical design and architecture decisions that align with business and user requirements
  • Work in close partnership with business owners and stakeholders to ensure they are engaged, aligned, supportive of direction and provide early feedback to improve value delivery
  • Defining and driving best practice and ensuring that quality is built into solution delivery of Remuneration systems with particular attention on managing and protecting sensitive and confidential data
  • Leading structured Solution Architecture and design forums (with both technical and non-technical resources) to ensure clear decision making and governance
  • Striving for technical excellence by challenging the status quo, researching and sharing new techniques and approaches
  • Building and refining the Reward product backlog for digital solutions, translating business needs into priorities for technical delivery ensuring great outcomes for our customers
  • Leading technology assessments, continuous improvements projects, pilots, proof of concepts/feasibility assessments, IT projects (as relevant) and integration projects related to Reward
  • Growing the architectural capabilities of technical team members through coaching and mentoring. 

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • Experience leading technical change in a large organisation for Compensation Solutions, such as Cornerstone OnDemand, Tier 1 Human Capital Management Solutions or other Reward and Recognition SaaS solutions
  • Experience architecting, building, and operating highly scalable, available, performant and secure solutions as it relates to Reward
  • Experience managing business stakeholder expectations
  • Understanding business/customer needs & objectives, translating for delivery teams to deliver iterative value
  • Strong collaborator, working well in a team environment 
  • Comfortable facilitating workshops and training 
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills 
  • Growth mindset with a focus on continual learning & development
