About the role
We are looking for a Principal Advisor – S2P Delivery to provide Project/Programme/Delivery services including oversight of the global S2P Portfolio Tracking mechanisms, including governance, prioritisation, alignment to strategy and financials management; functional delivery of a range of global project initiatives within S2P; escalation point and progress tracker for escalations across IS&T, from global key stakeholders; manage global stakeholders of various levels and influence (internal and external) and foster a culture of “celebrating each other’s successes”
This role is a great opportunity for a highly experienced Source to Pay (S2P) Functional Delivery Manager to join a market leader and be a key part of further progressing “Source/Purchase to Pay” solutions into Rio Tinto on a global scale. This role will leverage your strong SAP functional expertise.

Reporting to the IS&T Business Partner, Source to Pay, and working in collaborative and exciting environment within our global IS&T Team, you will:
- Be responsible for the S2P Portfolio Tracking mechanisms, including managing governance, alignment to strategy, prioritisation, pipeline meetings and proactive risk management focus. Assisting Solution Architects with support if/as requested.
- Provide functional solution expertise and targeted process analysis to work with global stakeholders across Product Groups and Functions to:
- support shaping of requirements, aligned to business and systems strategy
- oversee agile delivery (minor works) and facilitate benefit realisation
- Track and manage escalations from key global Stakeholders, relevant to any part of IS&T, and work with the relevant IS&T Team to resolve in a timely manner
- Manage stakeholder relationships, facilitate meetings and prepare related comms materials
- Build a culture where success is celebrated, ideas are shared and continuous improvement aligned to business priorities is an ongoing focus.
What you’ll bring
- Programme management experience - requirements, scope management, risk management, time/cost/quality, agile, stakeholder management, analytical
- Consulting experience, functional solution expertise, agile delivery, process analysis
- SAP MM experience – a number of full lifecycle implementations; functional experience of S2P SAAS solutions will also be valuable, e.g. Ariba
- Programme Tracking, Scheduling tools experience (Financials/ project accounting, Risk management)
- Strong presentation skills – to succinctly, yet comprehensively, capture all elements
- Strong Stakeholder management skills at all levels
