About the Role

As the Principal Asset Integration you will provide leadership to the Asset Integration stream and overall technical support to the wider Operational Readiness team and business for the Rail Technology Programme.

The Principal role will ensure that the operational acceptance criteria (and all associated tasks,) schedule and budget targets are met in a safe and efficient manner by the Asset Integration stream with the ultimate end goal of a timely handover and acceptance of assets to the business from an OR perspective.

The Principal Asset integration – Operational Readiness will primarily perform the following duties:

  • Facilitate the configuration management deep dive into Rail, Technology, Engineering and RTP
  • Manage the outcomes of the configuration management review (OR and Rail outcomes)
  • Formulate the OR requirements for FRACAS and DRACAS handover
  • Assist with the development of the change and release processes to be developed
  • Develop the Asset Integration reporting program
  • Identify gaps in planned work and work with the M&S Supt to resolve

Lead the Asset Integration stream in core activities

  • Support the Operational Readiness team in the development of 1SAP deliverables, such as Functional Locations, Bill of Materials, and Maintenance Strategies.
  • Optimising strategies to prevent operational and production delays and minimise lifecycle costs.
  • Facilitate FMECA workshops and participate in risk assessments.
  • Identify critical and required spares, including cataloguing and development of Bill of Materials and Equipment Lists.
  • Update of Availability Workbench models.
  • Document development including PMI, WIN, and Asset Management Plans – with assistance from Subject Matter Experts.
  • Develop familiarisation and basic training material.
  • Source information from project on design, and equipment.
  • Check documents against engineering standards.
  • Development of Lifecycle Costing models and Whole of Life reports.

About You

  • A tertiary qualification or similar with experience within the mining and mineral industry
  • A background in maintenance development, asset integration and operational readiness would be advantageous
  • Experience in Configuration Management, Operational Readiness and developing long-term strategies to maintain assets at a predefined level
  • Understanding of Rail assets, including communications and power systems is advantageous
  • Familiarity with 1SAP business processes
  • Demonstrated management of a small team with clear deadlines
  • Highly developed analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple deliverables, as well as the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Well-developed communications skills and the ability to summarise knowledge in a clear and concise manner
  • Proactivity in identifying new technologies and assessing if they are beneficial to the business
  • Focussed on following set processes and the confidence to challenge those processes that do not promote sustainability in the business
