About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Asset Strategy & Reliability to join our team in our Perth Hub, supporting our Nickel West Mobile Assets.
The Asset Strategy & Reliability (AS&R) team delivers value through optimisation of maintenance strategies and reliability improvements, working closely with the site-based reliability and maintenance teams to achieve exceptional performance today and tomorrow for the Asset’s we support.
Reporting to the Asset facing Manager Asset Strategy & Reliability, the Principal Asset Strategy & Reliability will have these key accountabilities:
- Manages strategy and equipment performance deviations over long term horizon at the Asset level, focusing on improving interfaces and value loses across the supply chain.
- Implement improvements, replications and best practice maintenance strategies across production critical mobile equipment (e.g. trucks and diggers) for the Asset.
- Accountable for investigations of large and chronic trigger events across mobile fleets.
- Provide technical subject matter expertise in strategy management and defect elimination.
- Develop close partnerships with key stakeholders across Maintenance and the broader business to further embed a culture promoting defect elimination and promote good reliability practices to optimise Asset performance.
- Proactively identify acute / chronic defects of priority equipment and leading industry practices that can be applied in collaboration with the Asset.
- Identifying safety improvements and conducting field leadership activities.
- Communicating effectively with technical and operational stakeholders to drive improvement project outcomes.
- Promoting a defect elimination culture by example and optimising maintenance by eliminating defects & waste.
- Identifying and providing guidance to close technical capability gaps, to drive improved asset performance.
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Tertiary or trade qualifications with practical and/or consulting experience in maintenance from the manufacturing, mining and processing industries.
- Previous exposure to Mobile Equipment Maintenance in iron ore, coal, nickel and/or copper industries is advantageous.
- Demonstrated expertise with Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) including FMECA, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Asset Performance Management (APM), Downtime Accounting Systems (DAS) and CMMS systems (e.g. 1SAP) is essential.
- You are a team player who promotes and supports workplace diversity, has a strong focus on safety continuous improvement and are passionate about delivering extraordinary results. Your leadership shadow will cast positively across the team, foster a safe workplace and drive innovation.
