Principal Business Analyst

Work Location: Perth, Sydney or Melbourne

Roster: Monday to Friday

We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Principal Business Analyst to drive the commercial goals and objectives of FFI as a member of the Group Commercial team. 

The Principal Business Analyst will support and lead the development of business cases and investment evaluation analysis to effectively meet organisational and business objectives in accordance with FFI’s strategy.

Due to the new and broad range of commercial arrangements and investment opportunities that you will be evaluating, you will need to apply your commercial skills, creativity, and experience to achieve optimum outcomes for the business. You will be supported by a team of subject matter experts from across FFI.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Supporting regional and business leads in development of business cases and evaluation of investment opportunities
  • Leading business case development and evaluation of globally significant capital investment opportunities.
  • Supporting the navigation of opportunities through the FFI project and investment process
  • Developing best practice commercial and analytical tools for use across the FFI businesses.
  • Identifying and creating opportunities for value creation in all capital investment opportunities

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Qualifications in Commerce, Economics, Business or Engineering
  • 10+ years relevant experience in business case development and investment evaluation
  • Extensive experience in a fast-paced commercial function
  • Extensive experience from the energy generation or resources sectors
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders
  • High levels of self-motivation
  • Ability to be agile and resilient when managing diverse workloads with multiple priorities, and delivering work to a high quality and on time
  • Able to work independently, whilst also engaging and collaborating in line with the FFI values
