  • reshaping our portfolio to include the base metals that are critical in the transition to a low carbon world;

South32’s corporate office is based in the heart of Perth’s CBD. The corporate office houses key functions including HR, Finance, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Group Risk and Technical. Our office is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from the Perth Underground Train Station.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent position on a 38-hour working week from our Perth CBD office. 

As the Principal Climate Change Risk and Reporting, you will be working as a core part of the South32 Climate Change team supporting the implementation of the South32 Climate Change Action Plan.

Key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:  

  • Climate change risk management
  • Climate change governance
  • Climate-related reporting and disclosures

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:  

  • Demonstrated ability in similar role (minimum 5 years’ experience);
  • Strong understanding of climate-related risk and opportunities, energy transition and corporate strategy;
  • Strong understanding of key sustainability frameworks and standards, including, but not limited to, the Global Reporting Initiative, Task Force on Climate-Related Disclosures and draft Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards;
  • Experience working in a large, multinational corporate and the Resources sector experience would be a benefit

Qualifications for this position are:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar in climate change, environmental, sustainability or energy related fields.
