Our integrated Bauxite Mine, Alumina Refinery and Port Operation is creating the essential products needed for a sustainable low carbon future.
Using your industry leading experience, you will design and execute community and stakeholder engagement activities that enhance Worsley Alumina’s reputation within its communities of influence while improving Worsley’s social value contribution to the region.
The role will be offered on a Permanent/Fixed-Term contract basis.
Location
This role will be based at our Worsley Alumina Operations which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes), Boddington (10 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.
As there is no accommodation on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie or Boddington.
Accountabilities
Primary responsibilities are to:
- Designing innovative and engaging stakeholder engagement and community investment activities that create shared value for South32’s communities.
- Creating a culture of engagement and shared value with site leadership and key community stakeholders.
- Fostering relationships with local community members to proactively share Worsley’s contribution to the South-West and Peel Regions
About You
- Qualification in Social Performance, Communications, Public Relations or a related field
- 8-10 years’ experience in Corporate Affairs / Communications or related discipline
- Complex Stakeholder Engagement experience preferred
- Experience working in industrial, or mining organisations is preferred
- Accomplished and persuasive written and verbal communication skills including the ability to simplify complex, technical information into straightforward messaging suitable for a range of audiences
