About the Role

The role can be based in Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth.

You will be primarily responsible for reviewing and aligning architecture designs with BHP’s existing standards, reference architectures, patterns and blueprints in ensuring “secure by design” principle is adhered to. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and support security architecture and infrastructure products and services.
  • Architect highly complex security solutions across IT and OT environments.
  • Identify solution sizing/scaling based on business and technical requirements.
  • Responsible for creating complex security architectural patterns.
  • Perform architecture and risk assessments.
  • Identify security design gaps and opportunities to enhance security performance in existing and proposed architectures.
  • Provides expert security advice and solutions for all projects that affect the organization’s productivity, safety targets including risk posture.
  • Develop and maintain security architecture artefacts across the enterprise.
  • Responsible for ensuring the appropriate security controls and solutions are embedded in any Technology project (secure by design concept).
  • Assist Technology management in enforcing approved policies, standards and guidelines.  

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field (STEM degree). 
  • Foundational security and architecture certifications (such as CISSP, CISM, GISF, SABSA or TOGAF).
  • Advanced technical security certifications (such as GIAC) and vendor and cloud certifications (such as Microsoft Azure Architect and AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional).
  • Demonstrated experience in applying Cybersecurity standards and controls in the resources industry particularly critical infrastructure such as safety, control and protection systems.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in networking concepts, operating systems & hosting solutions as well as various security technologies such firewalls, proxies, endpoint protection, remote access, identity & access management, cloud security etc.
  • Ability to translate requirements into tangible solutions that support critical infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing security solutions in a complex environment with particular focus on solutions that support railway safety and protection systems.
  • Seeks to understand the audience and tailors communication style and message accordingly. 
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management experience with extensive experience in communicating and liaising with a range of both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
