About the Role

This role is based in Perth or Brisbane.

We are seeking a Principal DevOps Technology to join the global Enterprise and Global Technology team.  

You will be responsible for technical leadership, mentoring and coaching to a globally dispersed team. Assisting in building a Agile DevSecOps Culture, capability and standardised routines.

Reporting to the Product Owner – you will partner with the Operations Service (OS) function, and our broader Technology Teams across the company to assist with planning and resourcing for the delivery of enhancements, upgrades and CI activities required to support the portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • The Principal DevOps Technology has accountability to support the transition of new or enhanced Technology services and provide technical capability on E&G projects.  
  • Contribute to the delivery and maintenance of OS Systems enhancements, maintenance, Continuous Improvements, Service Continuity and compliance activities
  • Drives adherence to software development standards and methodologies
  • Delivers Operational Stability, and Performance for the portfolio in line with agreed SLA;s and maintaining mean time to restore of services within target timeframes
  • Contributes to the overall management of the minor works and operations budget required to support the portfolio
  • Drives automation and improvement of the applications in the portfolio 
  • Compliance to Regulatory, Organisational and Cyber standards
  • Provide subject matter expertise within the team to drive collaboration ensuring effective execution of solutions, support and other activities.

About You

  • Technology experience with international organisation environment is desirable
  • High level of business analysis experience and strong knowledge in workflow management
  • Experience managing service providers and vendors in an outsourced environment
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving issues to resolution
  • Prior knowledge of DevOps / Agile practices in large team and organizations.
  • Demonstrated business relationship management skills and ability to influence others through cooperative relationships 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to effective work in a diverse and globally dispersed virtual team environment
