About the Role
This dynamic role reports into the Global Digital Communications team and is responsible for managing BHP's digital communications activities across social and paid media. This role manages the digital content strategy, along with day-to-day management of a number of BHP's core global digital channels.
It also collaborates across the broader Communications team, the wider business and with vendors to ensure the BHP's digital content, paid media and channels are best practice.
The role requires strong digital experience, ideally working in complex organisations. This full time role can be based out of any of our global BHP offices, flexible work options are available.
In this role you will:
- Lead BHP's global communications campaigns across social media channels.
- Manage and optimise our paid social media strategy.
- Develop world-class digital communications strategies.
- Directly and working with the team and vendors, create digital content that is engaging, strategic and sets BHP apart.
- Curate BHP's digital channels.
- Scripting, shooting and producing video
- Drive the digital content planning process across BHP.
- Find the insights that help us create better messaging, content and campaigns.
- Coach and educate the global Communications team on best practice digital communications and marketing.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have a passion for digital communications and have demonstrated relevant experience.
- Experience managing digital communications channels for large organisations like BHP and managing the strategic alignment of messaging and the risk, is a must.
- Digital marketing experience with a focus on social media channels.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills are key as are strong written and spoken communication and stakeholder management skills.
- You will be a strong advocate for digital communications and have experience coaching teams to create best practice digital content.
- In addition, you will be self-motivated, have high attention to detail and be comfortable working autonomously and flexibly. You also stay calm under pressure while juggling multiple tasks and deadlines, and manage periods of ambiguity with ease.
