About the Role
We are currently welcoming Expression of Interest (EOI) where we have flexibility for this role be based globally as appropriate to the successful applicant situation/preference and align with appropriate location’s working rights. This is an exciting new role in BHP’s Innovation team, Think & Act Differently. The team is thinking in a bold and aspirational way to deliver the resources of tomorrow, working towards positive-impact solutions and embracing an ecosystem of great people and ideas.
The role is critical to the creation, management, and growth of the community – this is the portfolio of organisations (from startups to researchers to OEMs) who are actively working and engaging with us.
Reporting to Manager Ecosystem Discovery Portfolio, your accountabilities include;
- Delivering the experience of the human-centric, fast-fail learning environment to trial novel technologies for eventual adoption at BHP, and the industry.
- Providing founder development, mentorship and support to the community organisations.
- Recommending pathways for the technologies, based on technical and commercial readiness learnings, within and external to BHP.
- Managing the growth and development of the portfolio, providing insights for decision making
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Exceptional relationship management skills, adept at engaging with a varied audience from senior stakeholders to founders of startups.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, share insights, and improve systems and processes.
- Minimum Viable Product mindset, with bias to action.
- Well-organised and an excellent communicator, you will foster strong community connections.
- Strong facilitation skills, combined with a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with managing complex, ambiguous projects.
- You will effectively manage tasks and deadlines, prioritising diversity and inclusion while respecting different perspectives.
