About the Role
The Employee Relations sub-function has recently undergone some internal transformation, creating a number of opportunities at an incredibly exciting time for our team. Our new structure will provide dedicated focus on key areas of strategic importance across the breadth of employee relations work, specifically: • an unwavering focus on eliminating sexual assault, sexual harassment, racism and other unreasonable behaviours; • providing expert support to successfully manage psychosocial risks across the business; • transitioning to a proactive, regionally aligned approach to managing employee relations; • driving a risk based approach to employee relations strategy and execution for our employee and contractor workforce; and • advising the business on development and implementation of strategies to drive a leading culture of employee engagement We feel passionate about empowering and supporting our leaders to confidently navigate employee relations matters and to drive the behaviours needed for a safe, healthy and highly effective culture. Within the Employee Relations Minerals Australia & Asia structure, we are seeking committed and enthusiastic professionals to fill vacancies within our team based across our locations (Perth, Adelaide and Brisbane offices) which will be both challenging and rewarding. These roles will work across a broad range of ER activities, with the possibility to specialise in a key focus area. Work that our team is involved in includes: • providing technical expertise to line leaders in managing complex performance and conduct and other ER matters • proactively support and develop line leader capability • contributing to and executing ER strategy to deliver optimal business outcomes • providing advice and interpretation on employment instruments and legislation • facilitating EA bargaining • advising the business on dispute resolution • supporting asset major projects • representing the Company in litigation proceedings, including the FWC and tribunal advocacy • leading or supporting risk assessment activities
About You
We are looking for experienced ER / IR / HR professional team members who embody our core values: • working collaboratively and focused on building constructive relationships with stakeholders • have an exemplary commitment to care • relentlessly pursuing continuous improvement, leveraging BHP’s Operating System to achieve excellence These roles have an element of contact time required (2-3 days per week in office/on site) and travel to our operational sites is required for most roles. We are open to flexible arrangements (including job share).
