About the role
In this newly created role, we are seeking a Principal Enterprise Strategic Roadmaps to join the BHP Technology Strategy, Portfolio & Performance (SPP) team. Reporting directly to the Head of Enterprise Strategy, this role will consolidate and maintain the combined high-level reference for BHP’s digital target-state and its transformation roadmap. This strategic roadmap will serve to articulate and communicate the horizons of BHP’s digital transformation and provide definitive milestone guidance to BHP’s global Technology teams, to ensure their aligned continuous improvement and service evolution.
Specific accountabilities include:
- Understand BHP's global Technology team landscape, focusing on the future-facing technical guidance needed to guide and enable their evolution and success
- Partner within the SPP team and its respective leads of data strategy, software, cloud and emerging digital technologies, to coordinate, prioritise and align digital transformation roadmap milestones
- Consolidate various key roadmap artefacts for individual technical components (including data, cloud, security, software maturity, platforms etc.) to articulate a summary enterprise strategic roadmap representation of the business’s digital transformation
- Incorporate metrics for digital productivity as target milestones of roadmap advancement progress
- Utilise enterprise strategic roadmap artifacts to support technical guidance communications to Technology teams, as well as executive business engagements relating to digital transformation
- Participate as part of the Enterprise Strategy Leadership Team to drive an inclusive and collaborative technical culture across all its team members
The role can be based at our Perth or Brisbane Office.
About you
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- Experience building and interpreting technical strategic roadmaps at the enterprise business level
- Experience driving digital transformation for a large, complex and distributed organisation
- Technical advisory experience especially targeted to senior technical and business stakeholder groups
- Experience preparing for and engaging executive-level business and technology stakeholders
