About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Global Leadership Development Team for a Principal focused on Executive Development. In this role you will lead the design, delivery, implementation, and effectiveness of our most senior global BHP leadership development programs – with a specific focus on our General Manager populations, and senior team effectiveness solutions. Your role as the Principal Executive Development will be to provide technical expertise in the strategy and development of leadership capability learning programs and services across BHP. This is a for Fixed Term contract until October 2023, and can be based almost anywhere in Australia, with a strong preference to be located with our Assets in Perth, Adelaide, or Brisbane. We understand the value of flexible work and encourage you to talk to us about the different options available. As the Principal Executive Development, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the design and being part of the delivery team for the General Manager Leadership Program. You will also lead the design and delivery of the Future and Emerging Leadership Program.
- The design of effective and sustainable learning solutions that supports business performance goals and a continuous learning culture.
- Planning and supporting the execution of leadership development programs across BHP to ensure processes and tools are scalable, consistent and deliver value.
- Measuring the effectiveness and ROI of leadership development programs and reporting back to senior stakeholders.
- Designing, developing and delivering people focused organisational frameworks and tools in line with psychological principles and user centred design, to enable the development of culture and capability within BHP.
- Using instructional design methodologies and tools to assess learning needs and build learning products and experiences that drive mindset and capability shifts.
- Apply an understanding of our business context, BHP operating model and ways of working to enhance decision making, productivity and value chain performance.
About You
As a professional in the areas of organisational capability and learning & development, you have:
- A strong track record of working at senior executive levels in BHP, and with demonstrated experience of the BHP Operating System.
- Managed global end-to-end processes for leadership development programs, integrated current research and had extensive experience in designing and developing bespoke learning.
- Designed and deployed Leadership development experiences that deliver sustainable results over time.
Ideally your experience ranges across several Organisational Development frameworks such as:
- Team Effectiveness
- Executive Coaching
- Talent and Succession
- Diversity and Inclusion
- Capability Development
- Performance Management
- Leadership Assessments.
You enjoy partnering with and coaching leaders to deliver effective leadership development experiences and have facilitated a variety of leadership development programs at various levels of leadership seniority.
