About the Role
Our Operations Services (OS) Finance Team is currently recruiting for 12-months Fixed Term role of Principal Finance Business Partnership.
Reporting to Head of Finance and is responsible for partnering with OS’s deployments in WAIO, Copper South Australia and Nickel West focusing on influencing and challenging the teams in cost control, productivity, capital efficiency and continuous improvement.
This role will require the successful candidate to rapidly learn the specific operational area the role supports and ensure that processes are in line with the contractual requirements for that area.
Your accountabilities include:
- Applies an understanding of the business context and end-to-end value chain to deliver value maximising opportunities.
- Provide financial guidance and drive strong financial management across the OS organization.
- Work collaboratively to build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and other Finance Teams.
- Understand and communicate the impact of operational decisions on financial outcomes.
- Identify, advise, and evaluate productivity and value creation initiatives.
- Make evidence based and strategic decisions in alignment with longer term business objectives.
- Support the CAP cycle including Budget and Quarterly Forecast process.
- Deliver insightful communication of financial recommendations.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, deal with ambiguity and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Additional you are:
- Experienced degree qualified finance professional, or a technical/engineering specialise with strong commercial acumen and finance exposure.
- Your strong engagement and influencing skills will ensure you are able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Independent, proactive, and self-motivated with the ability to think outside the box and drive change.
- Previous experience in Budgeting and forecasting is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collect/extract, interpret and review financial information.
- Possessing good understanding of commercial contracts is an advantage.
Location and Roster
You will be based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower – ‘City Square’. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues. You will be working on Monday-Friday roster. Flexible work is also offered, and occasional site travel may be required
