Principal Financial Analysis Operations

<span 72="">The Opportunity - Permanent, Full-Time Position

The opportunity to join South 32 as Principal – Financial Analysis has become available; this role will provide support to the Manager of Financial Analysis to ensure high-quality analysis and benchmarking on key business drivers and the budgeting and forecasting process for various operations; you will also ensure high-quality analysis and accurate reporting of the Group’s financial results

<span 72="">Reporting to the Manager Financial Analysis, key role responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• <span 72="">Monthly review and analysis of revenue performance, cost performance, capital performance, and production metrics for selected operations
• <span 72="">Execution and verification of forecast activities for selected operations
• <span 72="">Assistance with the Budget preparation
• <span 72="">Prepare and maintain various reports on key business metrics
• <span 72="">Ensure capital is managed in a disciplined manner (by driving competition for capital)
• <span 72="">Provide deeper analysis of key drivers and benchmarking to identify productivity improvement and cost-efficiency opportunities
• <span 72="">Perform scenario analysis across the operations
• <span 72="">Consolidating and preparing management briefing papers and other internal/external management reporting requirements for half-year and year-end reporting requirements (Quarterly Production Report, Results Announcement, Operations Finance Review, etc.)

<span 72="">      About You

• <span 72="">A minimum of 7 year’s experience <span 72="">within the resources industry
• <span 72="">Distinctive proficiency in financial analysis and business analysis
• <span 72="">Exposure to broad management reporting
• <span 72="">Proficient system knowledge, which includes SAP, BI and TM1
• <span 72="">Competent in data manipulation and financial modelling in MS Excel
• Analytical <span 72="">and accurate, with an inquisitive mindset to critically evaluate information and numbers
• <span 72="">Excellent verbal and written communication with people at all levels

<span 72="">Qualifications

• <span 72="">Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• <span 72="">CA/CPA equivalent accounting qualification
