About the Role

As a Full Stack Developer DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in bringing DevOps practices into the Coal Digital Factory and Coal Operations team. This exciting role gives you an opportunity to develop products in the Digital Factory as well as setting up the products for sustainable DevOps cycles within the Coal Operations team. Your role will be pivotal to lead building sustainable models, documentation practices, automated pipelines among others to develop and maintain our digital products in a collaboration with digital factory and operations teams.

You will be working across multiple products to establish DevOps routines, working as a full stack developer, and establishing practices and support mechanisms to sustain product life cycles. In time, this role will require you to lead several offshore operational resources to build a model that supports SLAs as well as development of on-going minor works.

  • Lead the communication between digital factory and operations teams to establish an interactive pattern to resolve technical dependencies.
  • Leading offshore resources for an integrated DevOps support model.

About You

Working as a DevOps Engineer you will be confident at communicating and collaborating with Development  and Operational teams. We are looking for individuals that have experience in establishing a positive DevOps culture or have been successful driving out DevOps initiatives. We want you to be part of the solution to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions.

Attitude, passion and communication skills are critical for this role, it would also be nice if you can have some of the following;

  • Experience in full stack back end Object-Oriented programming and engineering principles including .NET / .NET core, C#, Java, Typescript, Python
  • Experience in full stack front end frameworks including Angular and React
  • Experience in building Cloud using infrastructure as code with Terraform. 
  • Experience in setting up DevOps Culture and teams.
  • Experience with database systems, with knowledge of SQL and NoSQL stores (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Couchbase, etc.)
  • Experience in operational processes, i.e. incident, problem and change management in a service management tool like ITSM or equivalent.
  • Introduce DevOps Automation practices such as monitoring, quality control, versioning, CI\CD, change control, and X as a code.
