About the Role
Minerals Australia Projects (MAP) purpose is to create and maximise value for the business by working with our Assets to develop and safely deliver, fit-for-purpose, capital projects. An exciting opportunity exists to join the MAP Health Safety Security Technical team, with a new role being available, reporting to the of HSS Technical Manager. This role can be based in Perth, Brisbane or Adelaide! The Health and Hygiene Principal role will support the current MAP HSS team through deliverables on all phases of the project cycle, providing deep technical expertise and inputs as required, with a forward-looking strategic approach to a growing portfolio. While discipline-based, the Technical team will work collaboratively across all areas of HSS to meet the HSS Business Plan objectives.
In this role, you will provide technical expertise in the strategic management of health and hygiene related issues, provisions and initiatives across Minerals Australia Projects
• Set strategic direction on Health and Hygiene • Responds to, manages and provides expertise on health-related risks to uplift organisational capability in health management. • Manages, improves and provides expertise on hygiene management practices to improve organisational outcomes and performance in hygiene both on and off site. • Provide technical advice, leadership and coaching to internal and external stakeholders and customers • Be responsible for delivering improvement projects or initiatives to meet internal and external requirements • Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence-based decision making. • Engage and influence stakeholders and customers to support delivery of initiatives or improvements • Govern, maintain and improve standards, processes, systems and procedures with associated assurance activities • Actively support the HSS Managers for MAP East and West in execution
About You
The Successful candidate will hold the following skills and experience: • Delivery of hygiene risk assessment and management plan submission • Occupational hygiene monitoring program • Coaching of line leaders for hygiene control implementation & investigation exceedances • Injury & illness case management and medical surveillance program coordination • Health promotion initiatives, and field leadership coaching • Governance of the HHMP and assurance and reporting • Experience within a Project environment is desirable but not required
