We are looking for a Principal HME Delivery to deliver the HME Fleet Plan and manage disposals and off-site repairs across the Pilbara.

You will lead a team of Project Advisor, Senior Advisors who manage a diverse group of projects to sustain our existing mine operations and deliver our new mines, within the Pilbara Iron Ore region in Western Australia.

Reporting to the Manager Project Delivery – HME and Technology, and working in a challenging and exciting environment, you will:

  • Showcase your leadership skills by fostering a diverse and inclusive team
  • Coach, mentor and build capability within your team
  • Establish effective working relationships and ensure effective portfolio communications and reporting to enable stakeholders (internal and external e.g. Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)), sponsors and management to make appropriate decisions
  • Listen for, uncover and resolve potential conflicts or disagreements about project priorities
  • Ensure portfolio resources are appropriate to enable the necessary operational and strategic capability
  • Contribute to capital efficiency ideas and cost savings and log in the productivity driving performance system.
  • Manage the execution of the portfolio to meet the plan, both cash forecast and schedule management, working closely with the HME and Technology leadership team to ensure dependencies are closely managed.
  • Collaborate with your peers in Sustaining Capital on divisional improvements
  • Ensure the correct contract mechanisms are set up for engaging with OEMs and support the team in effectively managing the works in accordance with the contractual requirements.
  • Have the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation, with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Be an advocate for Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (HSEQ), undertaking Leadership in the Field activities, reviewing and approving risk assessments, strategic audits and project HSEQ management plans
  • Demonstrate the use of your business acumen competency

What you’ll bring

Experience in a leadership role will be crucial for you to be successful in this position, as you will be provided the opportunity to lead a collaborative group of professionals.

This opportunity is centred around both people and project management, your team are expert in their roles however, a comprehensive understanding of project management will be important to help you succeed. 

Your communication skills are integral to this role as you lead a group of professionals and support the various departments across the sites. Your stakeholder group is very diverse and includes senior leadership, which will require you to utilise your stakeholder management skill set as you collaborate within the group to share learnings and support replication opportunities.

In addition, you will bring a commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.

Exposure to HME project delivery and /or Mobile Equipment will be beneficial
