About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists as a Principal Human Resources (HR) Business Partner in Perth, Western Australia.
Reporting to the Head of HR for Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO), this role partners with key business contacts, including our Senior Leaders to effectively deliver value and achieve people oriented results.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
- Partners with General Managers and their leadership teams, to advise them on effective people processes to influence the culture and performance of their part of the business.
- Coaching leaders in cultural advancement, capability uplift, I&D, talent and leadership development, labour productivity, and how to effectively manage through change.
- Identifying and implementing improvement initiatives that contribute to the culture and productivity imperative.
- Playing a key role during business planning processes and the development of initiatives into the Asset Strategic Workforce Plan that support the customers you partner.
This is an exciting opportunity to get close to the business, truly effect change and work directly with customers to support them in delivery of their cultural and productivity commitments. Some site-based travel is required in this position, however flexible working arrangements are available and encouraged.
About You
You are a natural communicator with sound interpersonal skills who has the ability to successfully engage stakeholders in a complex, global and dynamic environment.
You have broad experience across the facet of HR, a self-starter who has the ability to proactively grow their knowledge of the BHP business through partnership.
As a strategic thinker, you will also be innovative and guide the future direction of our organisation and the future work of our employees. Critical to the success of this role is your ability to be collaborative and actively build strong partnerships across our HR Function and within the business.
It is important that you are down to earth, resilient, and are results driven.
Formal qualifications including Bachelor degree (or tertiary equivalent) in Human Resources, Commerce, Industrial Relations, Psychology or Law is desirable. Application close on Wednesday, 6 Sept 2023.
