Overview
We currently have an opportunity for an HSE Systems Principal within the Group HSE APAC Reporting Analysis and Systems (RAS) team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and inclusive team. This role reports to the RAS APAC Superintendent and provides governance and technical expertise in the use of HSE systems that support our Business. This includes providing functional expertise and enabling the successful use and improvement of HSE systems and processes. Flexible work options will be considered. Travel may be required to engage with key stakeholders but will not be routine.
About the Role
This role provides governance and technical expertise in the use of HSE systems that support our Business and enable the successful use and improvement of HSE systems* and processes. *The scope of ‘HSE systems’ includes Global, Regional or Asset HSE systems and applications that are integrated into global HSE systems and applications. It includes but is not limited to: Event Management System, Field leadership database (FLEX), MOC, Cority, regional environment management systems/databases (Envirosys, EMAS, EDMS).
Accountabilities
- Share knowledge, align on consistent practices & support Global & Regional activities with peer RAS roles
- Represent RAS capabilities & mandate in regional routines & through stakeholder management
- Maintain compliance with and manage risks related to applicable HSE Our Requirements through appropriate documentation governance
- Identify, engage and manage a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate and provide support to internal and external audit activities, across HSE systems
- Plan, track the delivery of and manage projects to generate value and drive the achievement of project outcomes
- Coordinate change management assessments and mitigate impacts to HSE systems, reporting & analytics from RAS demand process and other business changes
- For nominated HSE systems in scope, the accountabilities are to fulfil the responsibilities of the HSE System Owner role, through governance, design, development, project delivery support, maintenance, enhancements and embedment of HSE systems
- Optimize HSE systems and ensure they are fit for purpose against Our Requirements, legal obligations and material risk profile, using continuous improvement and system roadmaps
- Provide support to key HSE stakeholders on the most effective use of HSE systems to build their understanding and improve their user experience
About You
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more HSE processes, systems and applications (i.e. SAP, Event Management (Fiori), Field Leadership, Risk Management, Cority, Environmental management systems) and performance management).
- Tertiary qualifications in health/safety/environment, technology, information management, science, engineering or other suitable qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in IT systems project planning, management, execution and delivery.
- Demonstrated success in the delivery of system improvements as a functional specialist, including leading and embedding change.
- Ability to engage and influence diverse teams (including external stakeholders) at multiple levels in the organisation.
- Working knowledge of regulatory & reporting HSE policies and procedures
- Experience in HSE operational / project environments (desired)
