ABOUT OUR PERTH OFFICE 

South32’s corporate office is based in the heart of Perth’s CBD. The corporate office houses key functions including HR, Finance, External Affairs, Sustainability Strategy, Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Group Risk, Legal and Technical. Our office is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from the Perth Underground Train Station.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This is a permanent full-time position, preferably based in our Perth office. We understand and value the benefits flexibility brings and operate a hybrid work model (in the office and from home) 

As Principal Inclusion and Diversity, you will use your subject matter expertise to influence, implement and execute programs of work that support and achieve our group Inclusion and Diversity measurable objectives.

Reporting to the Manager Organisational Capability, key responsibilities include:   

  • Design and implement global talent practices that will improve and support inclusion and diversity objectives outcomes across Employer Brand, Recruitment and Selection, Career Entry and Talent Management.
  • Build meaningful partnerships with external bodies, analyse trends, and lead our Inclusion and Diversity sponsorships and events strategy.
  • Guide our internal networks, spearhead targeted Inclusion and Diversity projects, and champion our diversity initiatives.
  • Oversee reporting, maintain governance controls, and drive effectiveness testing, ensuring our Inclusion and Diversity efforts create measurable, positive change throughout South32.

ABOUT YOU

 You will have experience and be able to demonstrate capability in the following:   

  • Developing and executing I&D strategies in various organisational contexts.
  • Effective communicator with strong verbal and written abilities
  • Strong track record of engaging stakeholders and influencing outcomes across different levels
  • Highly developed experience in managing change and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong capability to analyse data and derive actionable insights
  • Relevant professional experience, with familiarity in the mining sector and across global jurisdictions, considered advantageous

Qualifications for this position are: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, business or other relevant qualifications
