About the Role
- Define the commercialisation risks and activities to scaling the portfolio including identification of any scale up risks such as funding, manufacturing or supply chains
- Identifies and leads the development of any shared value partnerships, funding or commercial roadmaps aligned to the technology development stage gates
- Builds investment, funding and partnering capabilities into the triage and investment process ensuring early evaluation of opportunities or risks to acceleration
- Leads any non-technical due diligence across the at each of the relevant stage gates by identifying funding, manufacturing and or serviceability challenges through the development pipeline
- Influence partnerships and group agreements with the existing BHP ecosystem where makes sense to do so, to accelerate initiatives into pilot and scale
- Coordinate a forward view on shared risk and reward opportunities across the portfolio to reduce the overall cost and risk profile held by BHP
- Coordinate collaboration across the BHP to execute commercial partnerships
- Ensure intellectual property is appropriate managed through the development stages
- Applies an understanding of the business context, BHP operating system to enhance decision making, productivity and value chain performance.
- Conducts presentations and facilitate workshops using storytelling to connect, influence and engage the audience.
- Gains support for and negotiates outcomes that achieve mutually beneficial goals.
- Embodies “One Technical” and collaborates with key internal stakeholders to leverage BHP’s full capability
- Strives to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste.

About You
- Experience in non-technical aspects of product developments in high capital environments.
- Demonstrated progress through strategic relationship management, co-funding or risk share arrangements
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills in the areas of technology development joint ventures, partnerships or equity
- Experience in evaluating and recommending alterative business models to deliver value
- Experience in working with cross-functional, global teams
