Principal Maintenance Processes & Systems

Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday to Friday

The Principal Maintenance Processes & Systems owns, champions, and continuously improves the work management process to support effective planning and execution of maintenance across Fortescue while enabling the business achievement of maximum value from its assets. They also ensure Fortescue’s maintenance systems are performing as per our work management processes and govern Fortescue’s Asset Management master data and relevant standards.

In this role you will provide Fortescue with strategic direction on work management processes and the systems that support it and with key stakeholders across the business to improve and optimise maintenance processes and systems

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and empower the team, strengthening culture and capability
  • Take responsibility for deploying functional solutions, such as creating, adopting, and implementing system test plans, which ensure acceptable quality and integrity of our maintenance systems.
  • Provide support, guidance, and training to the maintenance teams in the use of the computerised maintenance system
  • Developing and reviewing user and training documentation; Work Management Process Flows and guidelines
  • SAP plant maintenance master data standard owner: Improve master data structure and quality to provide improved data to key stakeholders. Develop and maintain reports leveraging master data to improve asset reliability and work management processes. Development of master data training materials and ensure execution of end user training
  • Develop and maintain maintenance operating expenditure budget solutions (ACLM & ANAPLAN)
  • Acting as a central reference and information source, providing guidance and assistance in the maintenance system project decision making process

Qualification and Experience: 

  • Leadership Experience in resource industry
  • Significant experience in Asset Management
  • Extensive experience with CMMS – SAP, S4/HANA
  • Strong operational exposure and experience; maintenance and/or engineering functions
  • Successfully implemented and embedded new or changes to existing business processes
  • Relevant Engineering Degree, Trade or Planning Qualification
