Principal Market Analyst
Work Location: Perth / Sydney / Melbourne
We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Principal Market Analyst, as a member of the Group Commercial team, to develop FFI’s understanding of the competitor landscape.
The Principal Market Analyst will develop Green Energy market insights and competitor analysis to effectively meet organisational and business objectives in accordance with FFI’s strategy.
Due to the broad range of markets and competitors that you will be researching, you will need to apply your analytical skills, creativity, and experience to achieve optimum outcomes for the business. You will be supported by a team of subject matter experts from across FFI.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Conduct research and SWOT analysis on competitors and industry trends within the Green Energy market
- Develop competitor cost and supply volume profiles for Green Energy markets
- Develop best practise analytical tools for compiling and reporting on the Green Energy industry and competitors
- Supporting executive, commercial, marketing, and regional teams by delivering high quality reports and presentations on industry trends and competitor analysis
Qualifications and skills required:
- Qualifications in Commerce, Economics, Business or Marketing
- 10+ years relevant experience in energy/resources/commodities market research
- Extensive experience in a fast-paced commercial/marketing function
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Access or BI skills
- High levels of self-motivation
- Ability to be agile and resilient when managing diverse workloads with multiple priorities, and delivering work to a high quality and on time
- Able to work independently, whilst also engaging and collaborating in line with the FFI values
