About the Role
Technology operations is a department within the Technology function whose purpose is to ensure the asset’s technology needs are being met. The Principal Mining Systems role is to be a voice of customer and represent their needs.
This role can be either an Adelaide based role with site travel required on a Monday-Friday roster or Site based position on a 5/2/4/3 roster.
The duties of the role include:
- Ensuring a strong commitment to Health & Safety
- Stakeholder management of OEM support and operational teams to support delivery against operational safety and productivity targets
- Provide governance and standardisation of mining systems technology
- Provide input into the design, installation, commissioning and validation of mining systems
- Being the service owner for mining related systems
- Leadership support for department Superintendents and the Manger to support technical development of the team and efficient close out of incidents and problem events
- Monitoring and improvement of key system Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) metrics and root cause analysis of failures is effectively completed
- Define, review and improve maintenance strategies
- Draft work instructions for the safe installation, inspection and maintenance of equipment
- Inspection and acceptance of new equipment installations from OEMs and projects
- Involvement, support and initiation of improvement initiatives.
About You
As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Ability to collaborate, influence and work with site based operational teams
- Experience with mining systems (radio, fleet management, distraction management, tracking etc.)
- The management of incident, change, problem and request management
- Autonomous experience is advantageous
- Minimum of C class manual driver's licence
