About the Role

The role can based in Brisbane, Perth.

The Network Engineer will design, implement and support network solutions in a complex global enterprise network and a multi-cloud environment. 

Core accountabilities for the role includes:

  • Provide expert network design and implementation services.
  • Provide expert input into architectural and engineering standards, templates, and policies.
  • Ensure proper implementation and optimisation of Network devices.
  • Plan and Implement Engineering upgrades and maintenance plans to keep the environment stable.
  • Provide expert input to resolving critical incidents and problems within the network.
  • Perform hardware asset management for all newly commissioned or modified network devices.

About You

  • Experience in designing large, complex and secure IT networks in large organisations 
  • Strong understanding of network technologies, protocols, and industry trends (SD-WAN, TCP/IP, BGP, VPN, IPSec, Routing, Switching, traditional WAN technologies) 
  • Strong experience with cloud networking resources (AWS Transit Gateway, VPC/VNET, Azure vWAN, Load Balancers, NAT Gateways, IPSec, Proxy)
  • Strong skills required with coding using terraform, phyton and/or ansible
  • Troubleshooting, logging, and monitoring tools: CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Thousand Eyes, Solarwinds, Splunk
  • A strong knowledge of architectural concepts and principles 
  • Ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications & Certifications    

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional or equivalent level certification
  • AWS / Azure Cloud Certification - Associate level
  • ITIL v3
  • Agile Foundations certification
