About the Role

The Service Management Systems Product Manager is a core member of the Agile Team responsible for shaping product roadmaps to provide business value. A role in the Service Management Systems team means challenging yourself, and our Technology Function, to continually improve and innovate.

Product Managers are responsible to act as Product Owners for multiple interrelated Products within the platform to ensure consistency of experience, cross-product compatibility, and help enable process wiring. You will engage with the Process Owners, DevOps team, and end-users to balance the needs of process alignment and governance, platform stability and maintainability, and user experience; respectively.

Objectives of the Role:

  • Drive the product and business-planning process across DevOps teams
  • Analyse consumer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships from an ROI and OOTB vs. custom perspective
  • Analyse product requirements and develop appropriate improvement initiatives to ensure they’re successfully achieved
  • Develop, implement, and maintain development and implementation roadmaps across multiple products

Daily & Monthly Responsibilities (Non-Exhaustive):

  • Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including product research, market research, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and feature launch
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, and ROI
  • Collaborate closely with process owners on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organisation

About You

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:

  • 3+ years expertise with software pre-sales experience, proven management consulting, professional services, and/or Product Owner experience
  • Solution and/or process experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
    • IT Service Management (ITSM), incl. Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management (incl. CI/CD capabilities), etc.
    • IT Business Management (ITBM), incl. Demand Management, Project Portfolio Management (PPM), DevOps/Agile Delivery, Ideation/Innovation Mgmt.
    • IT Operations Management (ITOM), incl. Cloud Management, Infrastructure Discovery/Mapping, or any complimentary technologies,
  • Other Service Delivery areas, such as Procurement Service Management, Case Management, HR Service Delivery (HRSD), Legal Service Delivery, etc.
  • Ability to articulate and 'translate' to and from technical and non-technical audience
  • ITIL4 or ITIL v3 certification/s highly desired
  • Ability to understand the "bigger picture" and business drivers around Technology
  • Be an active contributor of leading practices and expertise related to the ServiceNow platform.
