About the role
We are looking for aPrincipal Orebody Development to be the bridge between technical brilliance and strategic decision-making for the development of the Pilbara. This role serves as a critical interface between Resource Development and the Pilbara's future growth. You will ensure integration of geoscience and hydrogeological expertise, support decision making at the right level within the organisation and help shape the core of our future developments with your insights. As a champion of consistency, you will provide strategic guidance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Manager Orebody Development & Studies, key responsibilities include:
- Integrate geoscience and hydrogeology expertise: to shape the development of our Pilbara orebodies. Simultaneously, drive accountability and enhance transparency.
- Resource Coordination and Consistency: Champion consistency in scoping, costing, and delivery of hydrogeological and geoscience expertise to support new developments. Collaborate across disciplines to ensure appropriate resourcing and capability.
- Study Management and Interface: Manage study escalations and act as the primary interface with relevant study leads. You’re the bridge between technical expertise and study execution
- Strategic Guidance and External Engagements: Provide strategic guidance and support engagements with external parties and Joint Ventures. You’re the compass guiding orebody development.
- Continuous Improvement Culture: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by following the PDCA cycle. Plan, do, check, and act
- Team Capability and Strategic Insights: Develop team skills and lead technical advancements and anticipate long-term strategic factors for Pilbara development. Your insights steer the ship.
- Contribute to Resource Development leadership: Actively participate by providing insights and strategies for effective development of orebody knowledge
- Engage stakeholders: Maintain strong connections with both internal and external stakeholders, promoting collaboration and innovation in developing orebody knowledge.

- Hold a bachelor's degree in a related geoscience discipline (Resource Range Analysis experience considered advantageous).
- A current manual WA Driver's license.

Where you will be working
You will be Perth based with opportunity to work flexibly from home combined with time in our Central Park offices. The team actively encourages and supports flexible work. This includes workdays, hours and location, in addition to flexible and part-time work schedules. Occasional site travel will be required.
