About the Role
Reporting to the Lead Project Controls - Technology Delivery Copper SA. The role is responsible for providing technical expertise in the monitoring and governance of a portfolio of projects in order to seek opportunities for value creation and preservation by setting program-wide strategies for standardisation, replication and continuity.
Please note this position is 5:2 Monday to Friday based in Adelaide with regular travel as required. We can also consider part time option or jobshare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts benchmarking, implements prioritisation methodologies and identifies key investment drivers to effectively manage key requirements across the portfolio.
- Develops and communicates insights that guide data driven action and decision making.
- Makes evidence based and strategic decisions in alignment with longer term business objectives.
- Conducts presentations and facilitates workshops using storytelling to connect, influence and engage the audience.
- Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence based decision making.
- Applies an understanding of the business context, BHP operating model and ways of working to enhance decision making, productivity and value chain performance.
- Engages the capabilities of the entire organisation.
- Strives to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste.
- Knows our customers and is obsessed with meeting their needs.
About You
To be successful in this role, strong communication and proven influence to navigate multiple stakeholders to drive investment outcomes to achieve the business objectives. It requires the ability to accumulate accurate information whilst maintaining attention to detail. Being naturally curious you will inspire change and make a difference to those around you building relationships across a range of internal and external teams.
Key experience and attributes:
- Led enterprise-level portfolio governance and prioritisation, aligning initiatives with strategic objectives and delivering measurable value across multiple functions or assets.
- Designed and implemented performance management frameworks, including KPIs, dashboards, and reporting routines to drive accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Influenced senior stakeholders and governance forums, using scenario modelling and value optimisation techniques to support investment decisions and strategic trade-offs.
