About the Role
As the Principal Portfolio Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the capital portfolio for the Eastern Pilbara Region. You will liaise with multiple Site Leadership groups and Project Delivery teams providing guidance and support.
This position will require regular site presence at Operations within the Portfolio to build and maintain stakeholder relationships. Flexible working arrangement can be reviewed.
Reporting to the Portfolio Design & Programs Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Work with the Operation Managers and Superintendents to build the capital pipeline
- Manage the development of the 5 year plan (5YP) Capex portfolio & 2 year budget (2YB)
- Identify and validate key business drivers of proposed investments
- Interrogate data to create compelling narratives which influence decisions
- Report on portfolio performance including analysis on performance and mitigation strategies
- Support continuous improvement with respect to portfolio management.
About You
- Preference degree qualified with project or portfolio management experience
- Thrives on building relationships with stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of open cut mining and bulk handling operations will be advantageous.
