About the Role
Reporting to the Manager Engineering – Concentrators and Mines, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of a project portfolio across the Nickel West Concentrators and Mines. You will focus on effective delivery of the portfolio and while working closely with responsible Superintendents for each site to ensure the best outcome for the business.
This role will be Perth based with weekly flexible time at site required or FIFO.
You will be responsible for:
- Overall accountability for management of a portfolio of projects through the project lifecycle
- Building mutually beneficial cross functional relationships to support delivery of the portfolio and site business plan
- Facilitating the team in following the BHP Small Project Management Framework
- Identification and delivery of improvement opportunities in terms of Safety, Culture and Productivity
- Leading a culture of care through visible safety leadership and an uncompromising commitment to health, safety and the environment
About You
- A qualification in Project Management, Engineering or substantial project experience is preferred
- Experience across all aspects of the Project Management lifecycle
- Portfolio management experience
- Proficiency in executing Projects, preferably in an industrial environment
- Understanding of the capital investment process
- Sound financial knowledge
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, these will be key components of this role as you will work with closely with a variety of stakeholders
- A proven track record of safety management
- The ability to effectively engage on multiple deliverables with conflicting priorities
