Principal Project Services

We are looking for Principal Project Services to lead and manage specialists to deliver project controls standards, guidance and systems; data management and reporting for Sustaining Capital and managing the Stage Gate Process.
About the role:
This role will report to the Manager Project Services and it expects to adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Address issues with impact beyond its own team based on knowledge of related disciplines with those they support and includes:
- Being an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices, and processes, whilst providing leadership, development, and support to your team
- Work within a functional management structure, to provide a day-to-day support to the Manages, whilst supporting functional responsibilities.
- Provides input and advice to the Managers and directs subordinates throughout the stages of project development and implementation to ensure that systemic and long term technical and business issues are adequately considered in the design, development, and delivery of projects/programs.
- Manages the design, delivery, and improvement of effective systems and capability across a broad range of functional disciplines for projects/programs within the boundaries of the Project Services function and the stage gate process.
- Contributes to the assessment of project scope definition, execution strategy/plan and risk management to verify if the project maturity meets the expectations of the stage it is passing and setup to meet its objectives.
- Manages the collation of key data for reporting maturity and progress of projects/programs for Sustaining Capital to defined key performance indicators.
- Manages a team of professionals from a diverse range of functional specialties.
- Develops and builds the capability of team members to provide the required levels of service to various stakeholders within the project in order to optimise and sustain value.
- Chairs Stage Gate meeting and reviews the basis of the business case and its alignment with business strategy, project/program objectives and Works to be undertaken.

- Proven experience of establishing and delivery large portfolio of projects/programs in brownfield and greenfield environments.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and processes.
