About the Role
Reporting to the Commercial Lead, you will support the Project capability required to deliver the West Musgrave project through the Construction phases.
Your primary focus will be supporting the Project by effectively managing and administering the commercial aspects of contract delivery.
Leaving hierarchy at the door, you will build relationships with stakeholders and have a relentless focus on collaboration.
You thrive on innovation and seek out new ideas from your team & partners to create value. You will be confident to bring new thinking to old problems and challenge the status quo.
- Demonstrates a foundational understanding of commercial principles and an eagerness to learn and gain further experience.
- Some exposure or knowledge of tender development, release, and management, preferably in large-scale mining or infrastructure projects.
- Displays an awareness of complex contractual frameworks and a willingness to develop confidence in contract negotiation.
- Exhibits solid relationship-building skills and a collaborative approach to engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels of complexity.
- Displays self-motivation, reliability, and consideration towards colleagues and the work environment.
- Embraces constant changes as opportunities for growth and improvement, demonstrates adaptability and a willingness to learn from new experiences and challenges.
- Tertiary qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Law or similar.
About You
- Assist in managing work packages and ensuring compliance with project requirements and contracts.
- Coordinate documentation for commercial negotiations with contractors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and internal stakeholders to align commercial activities with project objectives.
- Manage commercial correspondence and meetings, including contract variations, while maintaining accurate records of discussions and ensuring adherence to terms.
- Support the sign-off and approval process for critical documents as per the DOA policy.
- Maintain contract registers are always managed and kept up to date.
- Coordinate payment and milestone claims, validating monthly claims and maintaining accurate contract information.
