About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Principal in our Global Reward function. 

Our Principals play a critical role providing technical advice, coaching and support for global, regional and local total Reward initiatives across Australia, and this role in particular will support our Minerals Australia Assets. 

Primarily responsible for providing subject matter expertise through local engagement with the business, the role provides specialist and technical reward advice and coaching, supports deployment of all relevant regional and global strategic reward programs and initiatives and is able to consider applicable regional context.

Core accountabilities include, but are not limited to: •    Act as a strategic partner to HR and business leaders in Australia, and provide deep functional remuneration and benefits expertise to add value to the business •    Develop and promote governance and deployment of remuneration frameworks, policies and procedures •    Contribute to the design and implementation of global remuneration policy, programs and frameworks •    Support the development of reward capability in the business and HR via coaching and partnering to ensure implementation and execution is accurate and fit for purpose •    Proactively seek an understanding of the relevant external salary market landscape, forecasts and movements and provide insights about this information to internal stakeholders. •    Support the Employee Relations team with remuneration elements in the development and implementation of industrial agreements, as well as the maintenance of remuneration terms in existing industrial agreements and relevant industry awards (knowledge of BOOT analysis) •    Provide specialist advice and support to Reward Operations in key remuneration activities, including job grading, reward and benefits administration, annual reward review processes, pay equity analysis, external reporting, executive remuneration proposals and payments, enquiry management, etc •    Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.  •    Actively contribute to a team first culture where we work together to create a positive and enjoyable working atmosphere. 

About You

You will be a Total Reward or HR professional with excellent communication skills and high attention to detail. You will possess the following pivotal experiences:  •    Experience with managing the delivery/execution of reward activities and initiatives. •    Deep technical expertise in regional and/or global remuneration and benefit programs, including ability to think conceptually, analyse, problem solve and drive practical solutions. •    Promote a culture of innovation, learning and development and continuous improvement with the team. •    Ability to influence others to achieve desired outcomes. •    Able to translate data analytics into commercial insights and strategic business priorities. •    Strong organisational skills and ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously while prioritising and meeting deadlines. 

More formal requirements are as follows: •    Degree in Human Resources (or similar) or equivalent work experience  •    Remuneration and Benefit Certification (for example, World at Work) would be advantageous. •    Demonstrated technical experience in remuneration  •    Project management certification or equivalent experience preferable.   •    Experience in SAP, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
