About the role

This is a full-time permanent opportunity.

Reporting to the Superintendent Safety, Risk & Training, you will contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, and governance of the Risk Management System.

Key accountabilities:

• Provide specialist support to operations to ensure the Risk Programs and Management System adhere to internal standards, regulatory and operational requirements
• Create and foster an inclusive workplace with a strong culture of care and accountability
• Plan and implement the strategic direction of HSRT for Illawarra Metallurgical Coal sites
• Develop and be accountable for HSRT relevant commercial outcomes of the sites
• Ensure that accountable activities are in the overall best interests of the sites
• Implement and continuously improve the Group’s Risk Management System (RMS)
• Lead the timely identification and management of business risks and opportunities and the development of an accurate risk profile
• Provide accurate and timely risk and compliance reporting

About you

You will be passionate and committed to workplace safety and have experience working in a similar role within the Mining or Heavy Industry.

To be considered for the role, you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma (Science / Engineering / Finance or similar) (desirable)
• Risk Management (CPRM) or equivalent professional qualification
• Excellent skills in data monitoring, advanced analytics, risk, and assurance process
• Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams

Location

This position will be at the Dendrobium mine which is in the southern coalfields of New South Wales, near the coastal city of Wollongong and approximately 75 kilometres south and southwest of Sydney.
